Crimson Peak (2015)

A resplendent and gorgeous Gothic-styled film. Those looking for a deep and meaningful story, or a terrifying horror, might be disappointed, but on its own terms, the film works fantastically. I found it delightful. The story is very, very thin, but the film is such a visual treat that I was rarely bothered (and the great cast helps it chug along without becoming too dull). A simple fan, but a very enjoyable, and very pretty, one.

I give it three and a half ghosts, and a misleading trailer.
