The Town (2010)

Affleck proves himself a very capable director with this really strong crime drama. It’s certainly not original, but it’s executed at high enough level of competency that I certainly didn’t mind. The cast is great, the action is directed really well, it’s paced tightly…it all works well.

The alternate ending is less unoriginal, and more interesting to me personally, it’s pretty powerful. I think it makes a proper statement, which at the film as it stands doesn’t really, at least to my mind. But it’s not what the filmmakers went with, obviously.

I give it three nun masks, and a stolen uniform.
