Batman: Master of the Future (1991) by Brian Augustyn & Eduardo Barreto

The follow-up to “Gotham in Gaslight”, “Master of the Future” is not as fun or inventive as its predecessor. For some bizarre reason, it doesn’t play to the natural noir strengths of the setting, instead being much more straightforwardly action-focused and pulpy in a more twentieth-century style way. The art is also significantly worse. An unnecessary, unenjoyable follow-up.

I give it one steampunk gadget, and a lack of purpose.
